My Journey
My journey in social work began at St. Thomas University, where I completed my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Work. I later completed my Master of Social Work at Carleton University. My education, combined with my experience supporting individuals through a variety of life challenges, has shaped the way I approach therapy today.
Throughout my work, I've come to appreciate that no two people experience life's challenges in exactly the same way. I believe meaningful therapy begins with taking the time to listen, understand, and build a relationship rooted in trust and respect.

My Philosophy
Progress doesn't have to be perfect.
I don't believe therapy is about changing who you are or telling you how you should live your life.
I believe it's about helping you understand yourself more deeply, work through experiences that may still be affecting you, and develop tools to navigate difficult moments.
It's also about reconnecting with what matters most to you.
Sometimes progress looks like making a big change.
Other times, it looks like getting through a difficult day, setting a boundary, understanding an emotion, asking for help, or taking one small step forward.
A Little About Me
Beyond the Therapy Room
Outside of my work as a therapist, I'm a mom and a spouse, and family is a very important part of my life.
I was born and raised in Croatia, and my Croatian background continues to be an important part of who I am.
Growing up with Croatian roots helped shape many of my values, particularly the importance of family, connection, community, and resilience. I'm grateful to carry my cultural background with me while building my life and career here in New Brunswick.
At home, life is rarely quiet with our cats and dog, who are very much part of our family. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being in nature, gardening, and running. These are some of the ways I recharge, stay grounded, and make space for myself. I believe our lives outside of therapy matter, too. The people we love, our culture and traditions, our connection with nature, and the small moments of everyday life can all contribute to our sense of well-being. These experiences influence how I approach my work and remind me of the importance of meeting people where they are.

Every journey begins somewhere.
I feel privileged to do work that allows me to meet people where they are, hear their stories, and support them through some of life's most challenging moments. You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can figure out the next step together.
