Therapeutic Approaches
Different approaches for different needs.
I draw from several evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, integrating techniques based on your individual experiences and goals. Click on each approach below to learn more.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT explores the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. It can help you recognize unhelpful patterns and develop practical strategies to manage challenges.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT focuses on developing psychological flexibility, learning to respond differently to difficult thoughts and emotions, and taking meaningful steps toward what matters most to you.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
DBT-informed strategies focus on building practical skills related to emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
CPT is an evidence-based treatment for PTSD that helps individuals understand and work through beliefs that may have developed following traumatic experiences.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
ART incorporates guided eye movements and imagery techniques to help individuals work with distressing memories and experiences.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative approach that supports individuals in exploring uncertainty, strengthening motivation, and identifying meaningful reasons for change.
STEPPS
Systems Training for Emotional Predictability and Problem Solving (STEPPS) is a skills-based approach focused on understanding and managing emotional intensity and behavioural patterns.
Pain Processing Therapy (PPT)
Pain Processing Therapy explores how the brain and nervous system may contribute to certain forms of persistent pain. It incorporates strategies to help change responses to pain-related sensations and reduce associated fear.
Mindfulness & Self-Compassion
Mindfulness and self-compassion strategies encourage greater awareness of your experiences and help you respond to difficult thoughts and emotions with understanding rather than self-criticism.

What You Can Expect
You don't need to have everything figured out.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're not sure where to begin. You don't need to come into your first session knowing exactly what to talk about or what you want to achieve. We can figure that out together.
Our first conversations will be an opportunity for me to get to know you, understand what brings you to therapy, and explore what you hope to gain from our work together.
We'll move at a pace that feels manageable while building a relationship grounded in trust, respect, and understanding.

Progress at Your Own Pace
Meaningful change looks different for everyone.
Sometimes progress means making a significant change in your life. Other times, it's learning to recognize an emotion, setting a boundary, developing a coping strategy, or simply getting through a difficult day.
Therapy isn't about becoming someone different. It's about understanding yourself more deeply, building on your strengths, and finding ways to navigate life's challenges.
Progress doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be meaningful to you.
